Youth Action Challenge Season 4

The Youth Action Challenge (YAC) is a key thrust of the SG Youth Action Plan, empowering youths to champion ground-up initiatives in partnership with government, businesses and community organisations. The programme provides opportunities for youths to turn their ideas into reality through a series of curated workshop, mentorship and guidance from experienced industry professionals.

Who may participate in the Youth Action Challenge? +

The YAC is open to youths aged 15-35 who are passionate about making a positive impact on issues that matter to Singapore.

What can I look forward to in YAC Season 4? +

Participants can expect comprehensive workshops, mentorship from industry professionals, networking opportunities, and the chance to secure grants up to $50,000 to implement their projects.

If I am unable to attend some of the sessions, can I still participate? +

While attendance is encouraged, some sessions are marked as optional. However, we recommend attending as many sessions as possible to maximize your learning and project development.

Can I work on my project alone? +

While individual projects are possible, we encourage team collaboration as it brings diverse perspectives and skills to the project.

How big should each team be? +

Teams typically consist of 3-5 members. The ideal team size allows for diverse perspectives while maintaining effective collaboration.

Must I already have a team in order to join? +

No, you don't need to have a team to join. We provide team formation sessions where you can meet other participants and form teams based on shared interests.

How is the grant awarded? +

Grants are awarded based on the evaluation of project proposals at the Final Open Mic. Teams with the strongest proposals demonstrating impact potential receive grants up to $50,000.

What is the Youth Co:Lab? +

The Youth Co:Lab is a global initiative supporting social entrepreneurs and innovators. Some YAC teams are recognized as Youth Co:Lab Champions for their exceptional projects.
